synthetic material that has been specially coated to accept toner.

Are DocuCard membership cards patented?
Yes, DocuCard membership ID cards are protected under United
States and International patents.
What are the most popular
applications for DocuCard Membership Cards?
Any type of identification or membership
card that requires the printing of variable data on a card which is tear-proof and
waterproof, is an excellent candidate for DocuCard. Some popular vertical markets applications include:

Can DocuCard memberhsip cards be imaged
on the backside of the card?
Yes, the DocuCard document sheet can be
duplexed. In addition, a WindoWell® construction of DocuCard is available that has a
rectangular hole (window) cut in the document sheet exposing the back of the card. Variable
information can be imaged on the exposed part of the card. WindoWell DocuCards are
available in single and double card configurations. WindoWell DocuCards may require a
machine pitch change from pitch 7 to pitch 5 to reduce the imaging speed when duplexing so
damage to the window does not occur.
Do the WindoWell
DocuCard membership cards cost more than the regular DocuCards?
Yes. Since there is an additional step
involved to add the window.
Can the DouCard membership card(s)
placement vary on the sheet?
Yes, card placement can vary 1/16" (1.59 mm) in
either direction. It is not advisable to print near the edge of the card because
toner transfer may not be achieved where the two materials meet. We suggest the customer
not attempt toprintwithin 1/4" (6.35mm) of the edge of the card, either on the
card itself or the carrier sheet.
Are DocuCard membership cards available
on 8-1/2 X 14" paper or as A4 size?
Yes. They are also available as 11" x 17", and 12" x 18", A3 and SRA3.
Can the DocuCard membership card or the
document be pre-printed?
Yes. Both the synthetic plastic membership card and the
document can be custom pre-printed according to the your specifications. Static information can also be pre-printed on the back of the
membership card prior to the assembly process (before the card is affixed to the document.) When the memberhsip card is peeled off the
sheet the information is already there.

What is the
minimum order for custom position or preprinted DocuCard Memberhsip Cards?
In order for the
customer to test the input/output capabilities of the DocuCard, we will send 1,000
sheets of DocuCard to eachcustomer after a custom order has been placed. There is
no charge to the customer. They will receive the product within 5-7 days (allow
additional time for custom paper or positioning) and will be asked to sign and return the
DocuCard Test Approval Document before the actual order is manufactured.
